Pasukan Pengaman Presiden / PASPAMPRES
Hari lahir Paspampres didasari dari peristiwa penyelamatan
Presiden Sukarno, Bung Hatta, Bung Syahrir beserta beberapa menteri dan pejabat dari Jakarta ke Yogyakarta pada tanggal 3
Januari 1946. Pengungsian ini didasari atas pertimbangan terancamnya keselamatan presiden/wakil presiden dari intimidasi tentara
Sekutu di Jakarta. Proses penyelamatannya sendiri dilakukan menggunakan kereta api luar biasa (KLB).
Saat ini tim operasional pengamanan VVIP Paspampres
terdiri dari tiga grup: A, B, dan C. Grup A dan B merupakan pengamanan presiden dan wakil presiden. Sementara Grup C, bertugas
mengamankan tamu-tamu negara setingkat kepala negara dalam kunjungannya ke Indonesia. Setidaknya saat ini organisasi Paspampres
diawaki sekitar 2.500 personel.

President Security Forces / PASPAMPRES
The formation date of President Security Forces (Paspampres)
is based on the rescue operation of then-President Sukarno, then-VP Moh. Hatta, then-PM Sutan Syahrir and several ministers
and high ranking officials from Jakarta to Yogyakarta on January 3, 1946. This operation was based on the safety concerns
of the President and VP from the allied forces intimidations in Jakarta. The rescue operation was conducted using Special
Railway Train.
Currently the Security Operation team of Paspampres consist
of three groups: A, B, and C. Groups A and B are responsible for securing President and Vice President respectively. Group
C is responsible for securing visiting foreign Head of State in Indonesia. Today Paspampres has the strength of about 2,500
personnels.
